No matter how old she may be, sometimes a girl just needs her mum…

At times being a florist can be a pretty lone ranger job. I am lucky to have a team of great girls I can call upon for big event bookings but there are many days + nights where it is just me + the flowers in the studio doing our thing. That is why I LOVE doing workshops so much. I am a naturally extraverted person so I find that running classes + workshops gives me the dose of connecting with people that I need as a creative person without the wedding pressure.

We run hens crown workshops + bridal party DIY bouquet classes however these are all privately booked classes. As something different I thought I would take a punt + run a Mum + Daughter table arrangement workshop at our studio on the weekend of Mothers day 2018. It was open to the public which I had never done before so I was unsure of whether it would interest anyone. I'm thrilled to report it was a raging success with 3 generations of beautiful woman coming to join in: daughters, mums + grandmothers. The ladies did such a fantastic job + the love in the room was tangible. We began the class sipping on champagne + by all the daughters openly telling the group what they were proud to have inherited from their mamas. We then finished with each attendee leaving with a one of a kind table arrangement that they created all on their own. A special day + something we will no doubt have to do again next year!
